Overtime

This section of the setup allows you to create the overtime policies that your company uses. The available overtime types are as follows:
  • Daily-- Employees assigned to a Daily overtime policy start receiving overtime hours after exceeding the specified number of hours worked per day.
  • Weekly-- Employees assigned to a Weekly overtime policy start receiving overtime hours after exceeding the specified number of hours worked per week.
  • Two Week-- A Two-Week overtime policy gives employees overtime hours after the specified number of hours are exceeded in a two week period.
  • Days of the Week-- These overtime types allows you to give employees overtime hours after working a specified number of hours on a specified day of the week.
  • 6-Day Consecutive-- A 6-Day Consecutive overtime type gives employees overtime hours for any hours worked on their 6th consecutive day working within the Overtime Week.
  • 7-Day Consecutive-- A 7-Day Consecutive overtime type gives employees overtime hours for any hours worked on their 7th consecutive day working within the overtime week.
  • Daily Average-- A Daily Average overtime type calculates the average number of hours that the employee works over a two-week period and awards overtime for anything over that amount.
By default, the available Overtime Levels are "time-and-a-half" (or, Overtime 1), and "double-time" (or, Overtime 2). Custom overtime levels can be added from the Settings section of the main Admin tab.

There is no limit to the number of overtime policies that can be inserted, and employees can be assigned to multiple policies at a time.
