Screen Layout
The User Security screen
is divided into three main sections. The first section is in the upper
left-hand corner of the screen, and is the user search section of the
screen. This allows you to search for the users that have already been
set up within the software. The
options on this screen are as follows:
The
Security Roles drop-down menu
allows you to select the type of user that you would like to perform a
search on.
The
Department drop-down menu allows
you to select the department that the user you would like to view is assigned
to.
The
User Name field allows you to
enter the user name of the user that you would like to view.
The
First Name field allows you to
enter the first name of the user that you would like to view.
The
Last Name field allows you to
enter the last name of the user that you would like to view.
The
Group drop-down menu allows you
to define how you would like the program to sort the search results. The
available options are “by Role,” “by Department,” “by Supervisor,” and
“Ungrouped.”
Click
on the [DISPLAY] icon to perform the user search.
Click
on the Add User link located in the
upper right-hand corner of the screen to create a new user.
The second section is located
in the lower left-hand section of the screen, and is the user search results
section of the screen. The results of your user search are displayed here.
The list of results is
grouped by the setting you specified in the Group
drop-down menu above. The options on this screen are as follows:
The
User Name column displays the
user name that this employee uses to log into the TimeForce system. The
entry in this field is a link. Click on the user name to bring up a detail
of the selected user.
The
Name column displays the user’s
full name.
The
Role column displays the user’s
current security role assignment. To change this assignment, select the
desired role from the drop-down menu and click on the icon.
Click
on the icon
to remove a user from the system.
The right-hand section
of the screen allows you to view a detail of the selected existing user.
This section of the screen is also where you enter user information when
creating a new user.
