Pay Period Settings
This section of the software
allows you to specify the Daily Start Time and Maximum Non-Stop Hours
for each pay period that you have set up within the TimeForce software.
Daily Start Time
The Daily Start Time is
the time of day that the pay period will begin on the first day of a new
period. This setting is usually used for companies who have employees
working an overnight or graveyard schedule.
Example: The daily start time for a bi-weekly pay period is set
to “02:00” (or, two o’clock a.m.). December 31 is the last day of the
pay period. An employee assigned to the bi-weekly pay period clocks in
for work on January 1st at 1:30 a.m. The hours that the employee works
for the day will be counted towards the period ending December 31st because
their “in” punch fell before the pay period daily start time. If the same
employee were to clock in at 2:00 a.m., their hours worked for the day
would be counted towards the new pay period.
Maximum Non-Stop Hours
The maximum non-stop hours
is the maximum number of hours that your employees can work before the
system automatically assumes that they have missed a punch for the day.
Missed punches are flagged with a “9 - Missed Punch” error code in the
Time Cards section of the program.
Each pay period that you
have setup within the TimeForce software is displayed under the Pay Period
Settings header.
