Department List Report
Description:
This report gives you a basic list of each Department Level that has
been entered into the system.
Report Criteria:
The Report Criteria screen opens when you click on the report name from
the main "Reports" section of the software. This
screen is where you tell the system what data you would like it to report
on.
The Employee
Reports field allows you to select a different report from the
drop-down menu.
Put a check mark in
the Launch Report in Separate Window
box if you would like the report to open in a new web browser window.
With this
option de-selected the report is displayed directly below the Report Criteria
section of the screen.
Select
one of the following from the Sort By
drop-down menu:
Department:
The report is sorted alphabetically by department name.
Department
Structure: Your department structure is displayed in a tree-directory
(just like the one displayed under the "Admin" section of the
program).
Department
Number: The report is sorted numerically by department number.
Click on the [DISPLAY REPORT] icon located directly below the Sort by section of the screen to generate
the report.
Report Output:
The report output depends
greatly on which option you selected in the Sort
By field when selecting report criteria.
If you selected "Department
Structure," the report displays your departments in a tree-directory
(very similar to the one seen in the "Department Structure"
section of the main Admin screen.
If you selected "Department"
or "Department Number," the report is separated into columns.
The header
at the top of the report lists the type of information that is displayed
in the column below.
The
Department column displays the
name of the department level.
The
Department # column displays the
number assigned to this level. This
is the number that your employees use to punch in to and out from this
department at the time clock.
If
the displayed department is a sub-department, the main department level
that the sub-department is assigned to is displayed in the Parent Department column. If
the department level is a top-level department, your company name is displayed
as its "Parent Department."
Click on the [SAVE] icon
in the upper right-hand corner of the screen to save this report to a
separate file. Click
