Creating a Rotating Template

Click on the "Schedule" tab at the top of the screen, and then on the Rotating Template link located directly below the main program navigation tabs.

  1. From the main “Rotating Schedule Template” screen, click on the [CREATE ROTATING TEMPLATE] icon.

  2. Enter a name for this template into the Template Name field.

  3. Enter the number of days that you would like this template to contain into the Number of Days field.

  4. Enter a brief description of this template into the Template Description field.

  5. Click on the [GENERATE TEMPLATE] icon located at the bottom of the screen.

  6. A table is generated based on the specified settings. The table columns represent schedules for the day. Employees can be assigned to up to 4 schedules per day, so long as the starting and ending times of the schedules do not overlap. The table rows represent the number of specified days. For example, if you specified “14” in the Number of Days field above, the template displays a total of fourteen days.

  7. In the “Schedule 1” column, enter the desired schedule information for each day in the template. Enter the schedule starting and ending times in 24-hour format into the provided fields. If desired, select a “Schedule Rules Template” from the drop-down menu.
    Note:
The template is not tied to specific days of the week. Schedule dates are assigned when a “rotating schedule” is created that uses this template.

  8. Click on the [SAVE] icon to save the rotating template.

  9. If you would like to assign employees using this template to work more than one schedule per day, enter any additional shift information into the “Schedule 2,” “Schedule 3” and “Schedule 4” columns.
    Note:
If you do not wish to assign employees to multiple schedules in a single day, only the “Schedule 1” column will be used. If the schedule information is left blank for any day in the template, the employee is not scheduled to work on that day.
