Creating a "Comp" Overtime Level

The first step in setting up comp time is to create an overtime level to be used exclusively for the calculating of comp hours.

  1. Click on the main Admin navigation tab, and then on the Settings link located in the System Tools section of the screen. The “General Settings” screen opens.

  2. In the Overtime Levels section of the screen, click on the [ADD LEVEL] icon. The “Selecting- Overtime Rates” screen opens.

  3. By default the system comes with two overtime levels set up, “Overtime 1” and “Overtime 2.” Create a new level by putting a check mark in the box next to the desired level in the Overtime Level section of the screen. (it does not matter whether you use level 3 or 4).

  4. Specify that this overtime level will be used for comp time by putting a check mark in the appropriate box under the Counts Towards Comp Time header.

  5. Click on the [FINISH\SAVE] icon to add the overtime level.
