IQ 1000 Messages
The IQ 1000 gives you the option of displaying a message on the face
of the clock itself when your employees punch in or out. These messages
can be displayed to the entire company, on a departmental basis, or individually
to specific employees.
Log into the TimeForce system as an Administrator user, and then click
on the main “Admin” navigation tab located at the top of the screen. The
clock options are located under the IQ
1000 section of the screen.
Click on the Clock Messages link.
The “IQ 1000 Messages” screen opens. The left-hand side of the screen
is broken up into three sections: IQ
1000 Company Messages, IQ 1000
Department Messages, and IQ 1000
Employee Messages. The right-hand side of the screen is labeled
Message Info, and displays the
settings of the selected message.
Creating Company Messages
Click on the Add Company Message link located directly
to the right of the IQ 1000 Company Messages
header. The "Message Info" screen opens on the right.
Put a check mark in
the Default Message field if you
would like this message to be the default message that is displayed when
all other messages are expired, or haven’t activated yet. Note that with
the default message option selected, the option to enter a date range
for this message disappears. See Message Precedence for information on
which messages take precedence over others.
Enter a start and
end date into the Date Range field
if you would like this message to be displayed for a limited time only.
Enter the dates either by manually typing them into the appropriate fields,
or by clicking on the icon
and selecting the dates from a calendar.
Use the Message
field to enter the desired message. The message may contain a maximum
of 21 characters.
Click on the [ADD] icon to add the company message.

Click on the [ADD] icon to add the employee message.
Editing or Deleting Existing Messages
Each existing message is listed under the Active
Messages section beneath its corresponding header on the left-hand
side of the screen.
To edit a message,
click on the message ID number. Make the desired edits in the detail screen
to the right, and click on the [UPDATE] icon to save your changes.
To delete a message,
click on the icon to the far right of the desired message in the list,
or click on the message ID number, and then on the [DELETE] icon from
the detail screen to the right.
You can also deactivate a message. This removes
the message from the Active Messages
list, but retains the message settings for later re-activation. To deactivate
a message, click on the desired message ID number, and then on the [DEACTIVATE]
icon in the detail screen to the right.
