If an employee's punches
contain errors, the Punch Errors row of the Time Cards screen displays
an error code directly under the In and Out punches for the day. Click
on the error code to view details about the assigned punch error.
The error codes are as
follows:
Schedule Errors
- Unscheduled Absence: If the employee
does not clock in at the time clock on a day that they are scheduled to
work, the system will flag the day with an "Unscheduled Absence"
error code.
- Not Scheduled: If the employee
clocks in for work on a day that they are not scheduled, the system will
flag the day with a "Not Scheduled" error code.
- Out Early: The employee has clocked
out before their scheduled stop time.
- Out Late: The employee has clocked
out after their scheduled stop time.
- In Early: The employee has clocked
in before their scheduled start time.
- In Late: The employee has clocked
in after their scheduled start time.
- Under Hours: The employee has
not worked the number of Required Hours specified in the Schedule Rule
that they are assigned to.
- Over Hours: The employee
has worked more than the number of Maximum Hours specified in the Schedule
Rule that they are assigned to.
Punch Errors
- Missed Punch: For every In punch,
there must be an Out punch. A Missed Punch error indicates that there
is a missing punch on the time card record for that day.
- Break Discrepancies: The employee
has missed a break punch. Either they have clocked out for break and not
clocked back in, or they have clocked in from break when they did not
clock out.
- Too Many Breaks: The employee
has exceeded the number of breaks specified in the Schedule Rule that
they are assigned to.
- Long Break: The employee has
taken a break that exceeds the break amount specified in the Schedule
Rule that they are assigned to.
- Long Lunch: The employee's lunch
break exceeds the lunch amount specified in the Schedule Rule or Meal
Window policy that they are assigned to.
- Short Lunch: The employee's lunch
break does not meet the lunch amount specified in the Schedule Rule or
Meal Window policy that they are assigned to.
- Department Mismatch: The
employee has specified a department number when clocking in at the time
clock, and has entered a different department number when clocking out.
- Duplicate Punch:
The employee has more than one punch for the same time of day. This
can occur when employees swipe more than once at the time clock in the
same minute.
