Inserting Individual Punches

You can insert punches at any time by clicking on "Enter Punch" located in the row of links at the top of the screen. Enter the desired punch data, and click on the [SUBMIT] icon.

Self Service users can be set up to use the "Quick Clock In/Out" option.  Click on the following link for more information.

Punches can also be added by clicking on the spot in the time card table where the punch would be located. Edit the punch information and click on the [SUBMIT] icon.

Modifying an Employee's Daily Hours Total

If you want to add or modify an hours total without having to alter the employee's punches, click on the total hours for the day under the Accumulated Hours header.  The "Select Hours" window appears.

  1. In the upper left-hand corner of the screen, click on the [ADD HOURS] icon. The "Enter Hours" window opens.

  2. In the Enter Hours section of the screen, select the top field if you would like to enter a lump sum of hours for the day.  Select the bottom field if you would like to insert hours based on a start and stop time for the day.  Enter the appropriate information into the selected field.

  3. If you would like to assign the hours total for this day to a premium pay code, select the desired code from the Premium drop-down menu.

  4. If you would like to assign the hours total for this day to a department, make the desired selection from the Department drop-down menu.

  5. Select the Schedule Rule that you would like the employee's hours total for this day assigned to from the drop-down menu.

  6. If you would like the employee's hours total for this day to also count as hours worked on a job or task, make the desired selections from the Job and Task drop-down menus.

  7. If you would like to assign a piece-rate quantity to the employee's hours total for the day, enter the appropriate number into the Quantity field.

  8. If desired, use the Notes field to document the reason for this hours adjustment.

  9. Put a check mark in the Override field if you would like this customized hours total to override the daily total that was calculated from the employee's punches.

  10. Click on the [ENTER] icon to save the daily hours total.

Inserting Punches Based on a Schedule

The Schedule section of the main Time Cards screen shows the shifts that the employees are scheduled to work for the pay period. To insert a punch based on the shift that the employee is scheduled to work, click on the desired punch under the Schedule header. This brings up the Punch To Shift screen. Edit the punch as desired and click on the [SUBMIT] icon.
