Premium Pay Codes
Premium Pay Codes are used to give your employees an accelerated rate of
pay based on the schedule they work, the department they work in, or at
a certain time of specific days.
An example of premium pay being used based on a schedule or department
would be if employees get a fixed hourly rate of 11 dollars an hour for
working an overnight schedule, or for working in the "Maintenance"
department.
An example of premium pay being used at a specific time of day would be
if employees get paid an extra 50 cents per hour for working past 7:00
p.m. on Sundays.
